Calling all Troops
Senior Citizens are in need of volunteers to rake their leaves. This effort is being coordinated by the Senior Services Task Force (SSTF) and Naperville Park District.
What: Leaf raking for Senior Citizens. (Service Opportunity for a Patrol/Troop)
When: Sometime in Mid October to Mid-November.
Where: At various homes of Naperville Senior Citizens. (Maybe we can get Aurora involved too, anyone have a contact?)
Who: Boy Scouts (Patrols/Troops)
Why: Do we need explain?
How: Scouts rake up lawn for Naperville bulk leaf collection which starts on these weeks.

- October 30
- November 13 (collection is scheduled to end on November 22)
If your Troop is interested in participating, please let Jeff Gross know. There will be more details to come on the process to get house locations.
Unit silver acorn nominations will be due February 19, 2016. All units are encouraged to submit nominations. For more information see the IPD 2016 Silver Acorn Nomination Form .
The Indian Prairie Annual District Dinner is moving a couple months earlier and being held on Sunday, March 6th from 5-8pm. The event will be held at the Stonebridge Country Club which is the same location as last year. The program will be similar with some additional recognition and awards too.
The Silver Acorn nomination form is available at IPD 2016 Silver Acorn Nomination Form and District Award nomination instructions will be coming from Ken Hogan soon. The recognition dinner for the Scouts who received their Eagle in 2015 will be held on February 19, 2016. 2015 Eagles should receive their invitations in late December. Registration is required and will be available on the www.threefirescouncil.org web site beginning mid-December. Adults wishing to sponsor an Eagle may also sign up on the web site.
Reminder: We’re looking for an outstanding Eagle Scout to represent the Class of 2015 at the TFC Eagle Recognition Dinner being held on February 19, 2015. Only one Scout will be chosen to deliver a speech on behalf of all 2015 Eagle Scouts. This Scout must have had his Eagle Board of Review in the year 2015 to qualify for this honor. The Scout who is chosen will receive a $500.00 scholarship. Auditions will be held January 9, 2016. For more information see the audition form for 2015 Eagles.
This year’s RoundTable meetings will be held the 2nd Wednesday of each month, at 7:00pm.

Their mission is to provide food and leadership in the community by uniting and mobilizing resources to empower people to be self-sufficient. They deliver over 60,000 pounds of groceries each week, using a network of over 1,000 dedicated volunteers.
